Amongst all the changes in the world, our annual campaign celebrating Autism Awareness and Appreciation Month was a little different in 2020. While keeping a distance, our Autism AbiliTEA aimed to put a spotlight on Autism, celebrate all of our neurodiverse Village, and bring our community together.

Today, 16 April, is a perfect autumn day in Melbourne. Our Lunch With Kitty fundraiser was all ready to go at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent, but it has been rescheduled to Thanksgiving Day on Thursday 26 November. By then, we’ll be giving special thanks for our L4Life Village, our supporters, our friends and the fundraising that keep our programs going for Fair Access at Learning For Life.

“Lunch with Kitty” will see Kitty Flanagan share her favourite Rules for Life, cameos from her ‘488 Rules for Life’ (awarded Booktopia’s 2019 Favourite Australian Book!). We are cautiously excited that Lunch with Kitty will go ahead as planned on Friday, 28th May.

We are so happy and thankful that L4Life friend Ed Kavalee danced on Dancing with the Stars for 2020, and his chosen charity was us, Learning for Life Autism Centre! How cool is that!
