Join Us For Lunch With Kitty

Wednesday, February 12 2020

“Lunch with Kitty” will see Kitty Flanagan share her favourite Rules for Life, cameos from her ‘488 Rules for Life’ (awarded Booktopia’s 2019 Favourite Australian Book!). We are cautiously excited that Lunch with Kitty will go ahead as planned on Friday, 28th May.

Thank you to the table captains for purchasing tickets in 2020 and for finalising their tables and attendees. We are so delighted and thankful to say that our Lunch is sold out!

2021 L4Life Lunch With Kitty Event

Kitty Flanagan is an Australian comedian, writer and actor who you may know from shows like Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Weekly, Utopia and more. What started as a joke on Kitty’s popular segment on ABC TV’s The Weekly, is now a quintessential reference book with the power to change society (or, at least, make it a bit less irritating.)

Kitty is a wonderful supporter of L4Life. She co-hosted, with Tom Gleisner, a fun night filled with laughs at our 10th Anniversary 2018 Kwiz For The Kidz. Kitty’s new six-part comedy series, Fisk premiered on 17th March – you can watch it and catchup now on ABC + iView.

Raleigh Williams at L4Life's Lunch With Kitty 2020

We will also be entertained by the wonderful songstress, Raleigh Williams.

Raleigh showcases a magnificent voice that draws on a background of singing and composing in a diverse range of styles, including urban, country, jazz, pop and soul. With years of experience performing in both Australia and internationally, she has fast delivered herself a standing reputation as one of Melbourne’s best session singers.

Friday, 28th May at 12pm

Rosina Function Room and Courtyard, Abbotsford Convent

Currently in line with the Victorian Government’s COVID guidelines, capacity at the venue is optimal – this may change at any time. If restrictions are put in place, we may need to limit numbers. With this in mind we have staged ticket sales; some guests have purchased tickets in 2020 prior to original lockdown, there will be another limited release of tickets, and if possible a third stage may be released closer to the event. Notifications will be shared on our website, social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and eNews list (subscription via website.)

Please note: to accommodate for possible future COVID restrictions, those who purchased tickets in 2020 will be given priority, then in order of time of ticket purchase if guest numbers need to be reduced. We are hoping that this will not be necessary but we ask for your understanding should this occur. We will be in communication with all ticket holders in the event of any restrictions/changes to our plans.

L4Life 2020 Lunch With Kitty 488 Rules For Life

We are selling copies of Kitty’s book ‘488 Rules For Life’ for $25 each.

Pre-purchase online with your ticket, or there will be a limited number of copies available at the event.

A Big Thank You to our Event Sponsor

2021 L4Life Lunch With Kitty Event Sponsor - Bendigo Bank

We would like to thank the Ashburton, Balwyn, Canterbury and Surrey Hills Community Bank branches for their support. Over $5.6 million dollars has been invested in the local community since 2003. This, and many other projects in our local community may not have happened without this support. We encourage you to consider the Community Bank for your banking needs.

We had to postpone our event by a year, but fortunately those who pledged their support for Lunch With Kitty are continuing to do so for our new May date. We are so thankful to the people and the businesses in our L4Life Village who are supporting our fundraising event even though they themselves are have done it tough during COVID. We are staying supporting them, we hope you can too – find out more about them.
