Welcome to Lauren
Friday, March 19 2021After bidding farewell to Carol Barclay, our office manager of 11 years, L4Life welcomes Lauren Elevato, L4Life’s Office and Finance Administrator, to our team.
In the early part of 2021, Lauren transitioned well into her new role as L4Life’s Office and Finance Administrator, with the help of Carol. Lauren will work at the Centre in the office alongside with Celeste (Practice Manager), and in addition to the tasks required of her role, she’ll be a face that warmly greets the children, families and visitors that come to our L4Life Centre.
Hear more from Lauren:
I started with L4Life at the end of January; just as Melbourne was beginning to settle into its new way of living with Covid. Whilst that sadly meant the Centre was visitor free for my first few weeks, I was lucky to be able to transition into my new role by spending some invaluable time with Carol before she set off on her retirement adventure!
Before starting with L4Life, I worked for four years as a Clinical Receptionist within a centre-based EIBI program that provides intensive ABA services to children with ASD, where I worked closely with the clinical team and the families we worked with. I enjoyed the role I could play in supporting families through the work of their clinicians.
Working within the not-for-profit sector has been a long-time passion of mine, so I was drawn to L4Life’s not-for-profit model and for the commitment to providing all children the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their financial circumstances.
At L4Life, I aim to be a friendly and reliable first point of contact for new service enquiries, invoice queries and any other queries that arise throughout the course of service. I also provide administrative support to our Clinical and Senior Management Teams, and am passionate about maintaining a welcoming and safe space for families and children visiting our Centre.
Outside of work, I’ve recently taken a liking to golf, I love spending time in the country and have a quiet cabin near the Murray River where my family has been camping for many years. These days however, life’s a little less quiet as my french bulldog puppy, Roger, certainly keeps things interesting!
